The course was specially adapted for the Stom-e company. You will have 80% practice on modern microscopes.
THEORY | DAY 1 (9:00–13:00):
Removal of crowns and bridges
Removal of posts
Canal location and scouting
Management of perforations
Management of altered anatomy: ledges, open and resorbed apex
Management of broken instruments
Removal of filling materials
PRACTICE:
Day 1 (14:00–18:00) Day 2 (9:00-13/14:00–18:00)
PARTICIPANTS WILL PRACTICE ON SIMULATORS AND EXTRACTED TEETH ON:
the removal of bridges, metal and fiber posts
location and scouting of canals
repair of perforations, open and resorbed apex
bypass and removal of fractured fragments
removal of filling materials
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
The participant will be able to
select the correct instruments to remove crown, bridges, fiber and metal posts;
perform removal of crown, bridges, fiber and metal posts;
understand the anatomical problems in searching for root canals;
perform the scouting of complex and calcified root canals;
understand how to manipulate the different materials correctly;
determine the timing of the different procedures;
perform the step-by-step procedures to repair different types of perforations;
perform the step-by-step procedures to fill and seal open apex;
understand the importance of technology to remove fragments and materials;
select the correct instruments for broken file bypass and removal;
perform the step-by-step procedures for broken file bypass and removal;
perform the effective removal of filling materials;
describe the strategies to deal with the different clinical situations;
select the correct materials and devices to obtain the best clinical results.
INFORMATION
The course will be open to a maximum of 12 participants.
The organization will make available to each student all the materials and devices needed to carry out the practical part: all the necessary equipment will be provided, including loupes and operating microscopes, ultrasonic devices and tips, turbines, micromotors, endodontic motors and files, devices for removing fractured files with simulators, materials and equipment for root repair, simulators for crown and cast post and core removal and all kits and consumables that will be used.
Each participant must bring the largest possible number of extracted teeth, prepared in such a way as to put into practice all the procedures. It is suggested to bring participant's own loupes if they already have.
